Cassin’s Kingbird

I have been working on the photographs for the Birds of Wyoming book coming out in 2008. The editing process is a herculean task mainly because I have to comb through tens of thousands of images. One of the pleasures is that I occasionally find an undiscovered nugget. Or in this case, one of the writers, Doug Falkner from the University of Wyoming, found one. Tyrannus vociferans, Cassin’s Kingbird, an uncommon summer resident of Wyoming. Picture was taken at the Ucross Ranch in Wyoming.
